We decided to give US Basin a try. It makes a loop off US 550. We took the entry across from Black Bear (which is still snow covered). It was muDD-EE and slick. We were only able to get part way up before running into the cats trying to clear the road. We turned around and headed back south on 550 to try that entry and see how far we could get. Along the way, Jim saw a road off 550 he has always been curious about, so we decided to check it out. No clue where it would take us. We named it "Jim's Curiosity." It took us to a snowdrift blocking the road with very little room to turn around. Last time I want to try this one! I now call it the "One & Only" because that's the only time I'm taking this one!
Next, back onto US Basin. It was not nearly as muddy or snowy as the northern entry, but we did run into a drift blocking the road. Jimmy tried to blaze a path across it but was unsuccessful. So, back to town and Bacon-Cheesburgers at Handlebars!
